Happy New Year!
The New Year is often a favorite time for people to get back into their healthy goals. The holidays can make it hard to stick to clean eating and healing protocols, but the start of the New Year is a perfect time to get back on track. It’s a fresh start and it creates a lot of motivation for those that need it.
I do believe that the new year is a perfect time for new beginnings. But I also hope that more people start to realize that “New Year goals” don’t have to be about getting back into strict diets and exercise to punish yourself for overindulging over the holidays. I think we need to enjoy life, and the holidays are always a great time to just live life, be happy, and eat good food with people that you love. This trend of immediate punishment afterwards needs to stop!
Healing Yourself in 2020
Instead of starting the year out with frustrations, let’s commit to a better, more balanced lifestyle. Work on your health as a daily endeavor- not a 1 month diet or cleanse. Commit to eating better on a daily basis. Understand that you do not have to be perfect- just have grace with yourself.
Don’t feel guilty about cravings or feel that you have to work out just to “burn off a piece of cake”. Allow yourself to indulge without feeling guilt for it. Mindset is truly important to work on while healing. If you are hard on yourself and have negative self-talk all of the time, then that is counter productive. Allow yourself to just BE.
Work on self-love more. Learn who you truly are and what makes you tick. Start learning about what health truly is and how the body works so you can understand the healing process better.

People like me are guides- we can give you the information and show you the direction to go in, but ultimately the actual healing part is done by you. Get ready to unleash your inner healer in 2020!
